Working at a wholesale company has been a quite journey for me for the past three months. A business structure and operational process was very different than my previous company as a food producer.
I believe that this challange could strengthen my operational skills, and I've been able to contribute and strengthen the overall efficiency of the buying process at current company
I also established new sourcing lines for Korean food products from local and overseas suppliers. There were many complications and problems at finding right suppliers with right product, and right price.
After searching for certified suppliers with modernized systems, I found that they didn't offer the complete products we required. However, I also discovered a supplier with the product we needed, despite their poor inventory management and frequent shortages. To make the most of the situation, I decided to work with both suppliers.
I will overcome these challenges with efficient communication and close collaboration with suppliers. I will monitor the sales of new items and share our purchasing plan and purchasing volume with suppliers to prevent shortage problems.
I am excited to embark on this journey of new sourcing project.
