Jenny's passion for sourcing led her to embark on a pasta sourcing journey with a single supplier in Italy a decade ago. With only three types of pasta and a few shipments per month, it was a small start that blossomed into a magnificent success. After several years. she curated five different pasta products from the same supplier and ships 20 ~ 30 containers per month.

Even though pasta sourcing was booming with increased volume and wider rage of the assortment, Jenny experienced the disadvantages of single sourcing. From facing supply risks to struggling to improve supplier performance, the consequences were tough. To make matters worse, the supplier had a stronghold on pricing, leaving Jenny feeling boxed in.


Embarking on a flavorful adventure, she and her companions drove across the winding length of Italy to discover the secrets of a promising new pasta supplier. Along the way, they sampled countless varieties of the delicious pastas and were inspired by the traditional recipes, shapes and flavours they encountered.

After mastering the culinary of pastas, they made the decision to add new assortments of value-added products that use colours from all food ingredients, extracted from spinach, carrots, turmeric, and even squid ink. And what's more, they taste as good as they look! This genius move not only addresses the issue of single-sourcing, but also promises to boost sales and delight taste buds.

Embarking on a quest for the perfect Italian pasta, she discovered a world of flavor and opportunity. Breaking free from a previous supplier's hold, she forged a new path with impressive results. Sales grew stronger by the day, reaching 30 containers shipped out each month, with a variety of 8 mouth-watering pastas. It was a journey worth taking, and the delicious rewards were worth every step.


Jenny learned again that the right sourcing type with the right strategy is very important for the successful sourcing.
